Mormon Church Defends Sodomite Priesthood Appointment
After my article hit the internet yesterday, the Mormon Church apparently responded through the Salt Lake Newspaper, the Salt Lake Tribune.
"Mayne is openly gay — a fact that has created a buzz up and down the Mormon Internet world.
He is not the first self-identified gay member to hold a key leadership position within the LDS Church’s all-volunteer clergy and staffing. A Seattle ward (congregation), for example, reportedly had a gay counselor to the bishop and in Oakland, Calif., a gay man is on the stake’s high council and is a temple worker." (Source)
In other words, this was a move that had Salt Lake City's approval. Not some renegade congregation spitting in the face of God and the Church. Mormons should find additional comfort in knowing that Mayne is not the first openly gay man to be appointed to a Priesthood position in the Church. As I stated in my article yesterday, this smells like Romneyism is moving the Mormon Church towards greater worldly popularity.
"But Mayne may be the first local LDS leader to announce his orientation over the pulpit. He also was chosen specifically to help build bridges between the Bay Area’s Mormon and gay communities, a gap that was widened by the LDS Church’s overt support of Proposition 8, defining marriage as exclusively between a man and a woman." (Ibid)
The question now becomes, "Who will repair the rift between those that worked and sacrified to Pass Proposition 8 and the Mormon Church?" I received the following email from a devoted reader:
"I had long thought that since my friend told me that BYU campuses have "gay support groups" that it was drifting towards "...standing for nothing." When I was at BYU, it didn't take me long to be informed in hushed tones by my roommates to be very leery about spending much time in the 'music department's practice rooms" It seems that these isolated, sound proof rooms were the haunts of BYU's hidden homosexual activities. I was told of rumored BYU students who were returned missionaries who were discovered to be homosexuals on campus and they were dismissed for violating LDS doctrines and student code of ethics.
What a slap in the face to those Mormons in California who put their character, reputation, and values on the line to defend marriage as between a male and female persons. All those poor Mormons who stood up for something that they believed in and who were outted by the gay community on the Internet. I recall reading how Mormons who donated money to support marriage in California and then the gay community discovered their names and business locations and set up boycotts of the
Mormon businesses. These poor Mormons must feel like such suckers!
My girlfriend's daughter was one of the folks who gave up lots of time and did phone calls at the request of the Mormon Church to support the"marriage proposition". This poor young lady even had a boyfriend at the time (he was Mormon) who was peeved at her for not being accepting of homosexual marriage.
And so the LDS Church has fallen from grace....."
The Church does not have a problem with those that struggle with same sex attraction, as long as they repent of past deeds and commit to a future life free of the Sodomite Lifestyle. Mayne has done neither one. The principal of repentance states that an individual must confess past wrongs, feel Godly sorrow for them, and forsake the sin. Mayne is clearly non-repentant for his choice to embrace the Sodomite Lifestyle:
"Up until a year ago, I was in a committed, monogamous (Sodomite) relationship with my partner of several years. I wore a (Sodomite) wedding band. I attended church and held callings within my ward. But, life is not without its own twists and turns, and I had to leave my (Sodomite) partner for a variety of reasons, none of which had to do with pressure from the church. It was, without question, the most painful decision I’ve ever made.
As a result, my current circumstances provide me with a unique opportunity to serve in a Priesthood leadership role within my community. Will that always be the case? Perhaps not. I will likely not be single forever, but I am now by choice—given where I am in my own personal healing process.
I am open to a (Sodomite) relationship if fate brings that my way. I am not committing to a lifetime of celibacy..." (Source) .
In other words, the Mormon Church is now permitting unrepentant Sodomites to hold Priesthood positions. Mitt has a blog that is titled, "I am an Openly Gay Latter-Day Saint" (Source) In it, he talks about his "Straight" allies within the Mormon Church Leadership:
"In September of last year, Elder Marlin K. Jensen of the Quorum of the Seventy (the third tier of church leadership) was assigned to speak to the Oakland Stake during our stake conference. At the request of my Stake President, Elder Jensen agreed to meet with a few us to talk about the topic of homosexuality, and more specifically, about the Church’s involvement in Proposition 8. I also had the opportunity to speak with Elder Jensen privately....
... I noticed his eyes had welled up with tears. He shook his head vigorously, indicating his distaste at the idea of someone revoking my church membership based on my sexual orientation...
At the end of the larger group session, Elder Jensen committed to sharing what he learned with the remainder of senior church leadership. He reiterated that there are many in our senior ranks who care deeply about this topic—and are genuinely concerned that there are gay people among our flanks who feel that they have no place in the Mormon Church...
He then tearfully wondered aloud if we, in fact, might all just simply be God’s special and unique creations, with a path to walk different from the rest, whose purpose may yet be undiscovered...
... toward the end of our meeting, he offered—within his power to grant—a heartfelt and teary eyed apology on behalf of the Church for all the pain and divisiveness caused by this position and the work around Proposition 8...
He ended with this: “I am committed to going back to Salt Lake and sharing what I now know and what I have learned today, and I will influence to the best of my abilities. Through meeting with you today, my aversion to homophobia has grown, and that needs to happen in the lives and hearts of every single Mormon.”
Homophobia is a lie. Good Mormons are not afraid of homosexuals, they are afraid of God, and disobeying God's commandments. Ironically, the Church seems to have forgotten about its "Proclamation on the Family", the closest thing to a doctrinal position on the Sodomites:
" We, the First Presidency and the Council of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, solemnly proclaim that marriage between a man and a woman is ordained of God and that the family is central to the Creator's plan for the eternal destiny of His children.
All human beings—male and female—are created in the image of God. Each is a beloved spirit son or daughter of heavenly parents, and, as such, each has a divine nature and destiny. Gender is an essential characteristic of individual premortal, mortal, and eternal identity and purpose...
The family is ordained of God. Marriage between man and woman is essential to His eternal plan. Children are entitled to birth within the bonds of matrimony, and to be reared by a father and a mother who honor marital vows with complete fidelity...
We warn that individuals who violate covenants of chastity, who abuse spouse or offspring, or who fail to fulfill family responsibilities will one day stand accountable before God. Further, we warn that the disintegration of the family will bring upon individuals, communities, and nations the calamities foretold by ancient and modern prophets.
We call upon responsible citizens and officers of government everywhere to promote those measures designed to maintain and strengthen the family as the fundamental unit of society. (Source)
I can't help but wonder about the kind of outreach program that the Church will create for the 97-99% of its membership that should feel betrayed and offended by its Leadership. After openly supporting a Sodomite Rights ordinance in Salt Lake City, this latest move to become one with the world should really come as no surprise.
I expect the members will be reminded to "Not Speak Evil of the Lord's Annointed", which now, apparently includes a non-repentant Sodomite named Mitch Mayne. Next up, if my visions are correct, will be an openly gay General Authority in the Church. This will also be sold to the membership as part of an outreach program, to those who openly defy God through their Sodomite behavior.
Notice that the Church isn't appointing former homosexuals, who actually changed their behavior, to any type of outreach program. They wouldn't want to lose the Militant Sodomite vote for Mitt Romney in next years presidential election. Or the millions of dollars in donations from those that support the Sodomite agenda.
Now for a Prophecy:
A separation of the wheat from the tares is at our doors. Those in Leadership positions, within the Mormon Church, that want to be one with the world, will be cast down to hell with their worldy brethren. God will not be mocked. Only a Son of Perdition would sell his divine birthright for money and power. The Mormon Church is full of such men, many in leadership positions. These will soon be exposed for what they really are: Murderers, Liars, Satanists, Pedophiles and Thieves.
God's judgments hang over their head, and will soon fall with a resounding crash that will be heard throughout the world. Earthquakes, fires, famine, flood, plagues and bloodshed will soon cleanse this world of such men, and those that they deceive into following them.
Persecution is an honor in such a world, or in such a Church run by such worldy men. Those that take the easy path are cowards and opportunists, not men of God. Rebellion against such leadership is a sign of character, and a token of personal righteousness. Those that are persecuted for rebellion against such tyranny, and express their vocal opposition in public and private will be numbered with Jesus Christ, who was cast out of the synagogue for exposing the lies taught by the Pharisees and Sadducees of His day.
Those that willingly accept such tyranny, will be numbered among the other fools of our day and will not escape the coming judgments of God.
I would ask my fellow Mormons: "Who's on the Lord's side? Who?" Email me and let me know. I will publish your responses in my next article. Be brave and state your name.
