Many Mormons are left shaking their heads over the editorial in the Deseret News that trashes the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights. It appears to many, that the Church is being pushed from the moral high ground by the Mormon Illuminati, Large Financial Donors, and political expediency.
The question in the minds of the Mormon Masses is, how far will the Church be pushed by the Romneyites, who desire political influence and popularity over long-standing principals and a Scriptural Foundation? Consider the following:
1. Mitt Romney is known as the Burger King of Politics ("Have it Your Way)
"Romney said that abortion “should be safe and legal in this country.” He strived to find room to the left of Senator Ted Kennedy when running in liberal Massachusetts. When he began running for President in 2007, he did a 180 degree turn on so many issues it made him dizzy. He changed on gun rights, homosexual marriage, abortion, Ronald Reagan, and immigration. It was ironic that radio giants Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity deemed him the most conservative." (Source)
Telling people what they want to hear is nothing new in politics. Yet, when talk leads to action, hypocrisy becomes the order of the day. One glaring example is Romney's stand on homosexual rights:
“We must make equality for gays and lesbians a mainstream concern,” Mr. Romney wrote in a detailed plea for the support of the club, a gay Republican organization. (Source)
When the Mormon Church publicly supported Gay Rights legislation in Salt Lake City, it appears that they were mirroring Romney's activities in the MA. Senate.
"Mr. Romney, recounting in the letter the promises he made in the meeting with the club, said he had agreed to help sponsor a bill barring discrimination against gay men and lesbians if he was elected to the Senate and to broaden it to include protections for housing and credit." (Source)
Mitt Romney also banned the Boy Scouts from participating in the 2001 Olympics, reportedly because of their refusal to tolerate homosexual Scout Masters and boyscouts. The LDS Church is the largest financial sponsor of the Boy Scouts of America. In fact, scouting is an important part of every Mormon congregation in the United States.
Also, in 2001, Romney called first citizens' petition to define marriage “too extreme” and “bigoted” because it banned civil unions among homosexuals. (Source) The movement to preserve the institution of marriage counted Romney as their lead opponent when Massachusettes permitted civil unions for homosexuals under his watch. (Ibid).
Interestingly enough, the Utah Republican Party actually endorsed a leading homosexual advocate for a State Senate seat in this election. (Source)
The Romney effect on Mormonism can be likened to the Constantine effect on early Christianity. Both saw religion as a political tool and both ended up destroying the very faith they purported to confess. Romney seeks to make Mormonism acceptable to the masses so that he can govern over them. Constantine did the same thing to early Christianity.
In the end, the Church became another branch of the state under Constantine. He appointed Church Leadership and decided what would be acceptable doctrine. The Romneyites, along with the Mormon Illuminati, are working towards the same objective with Mormonism. Constantine's successes were followed by the Dark Ages in Western Europe, where the average individual was forbidden to question Church policy and leadership under punishment of death. Because they could not explain the discrepencies between scripture and policy, the Catholic Church simply removed the latter and brutally enforced the former, under the Inquisition.
This is what happens when hypocrites gain political power. They become the worst form of Tyrants because they disobey and fight against the most basic of truths.
Mormons need to separate from those who lust after money and power, or they will just as surely end up with tyranny and a destruction of their faith. Romney and his Mormon Illuminati cohorts are no friends of Liberty or Mormonism. They clamor after popular acceptance in order to be crowned with absolute power. Their efforts will destroy both the Constitution and Mormonism.
