"To be tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, an organization must be organized and operated exclusively for exempt purposes set forth in section 501(c)(3), and none of its earnings may inure to any private shareholder or individual. In addition, it may not be an action organization, i.e., it may not attempt to influence legislation as a substantial part of its activities and it may not participate in any campaign activity for or against political candidates.
Organizations described in section 501(c)(3) are commonly referred to as charitable organizations. Organizations described in section 501(c)(3), other than testing for public safety organizations, are eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions in accordance with Code section 170."
Analysis: And so we see the muzzle that has been placed on our Churches in America. In exchange for their "non-involvement" in political matters, and influencing our laws, they avoid the payment of taxes as a "Tax-exempt" organization. In the opinion of many, this forces our religious organizations to proclaim "neutrality" on what are definitely moral issues that have been turned into legislation and espoused by politicians.
One example of this is abortion. The Catholic Church has spoken out against it. Yet, its political opposition is notably absent. It even refuses to excommunicate politicians who support pro-abortion laws and positions. This is a direct result of 501c3 rules that politicians use to threaten religious organizations. If the Catholic Church were to support an "anti-abortion", political candidate, they would lose their protected "Tax-exempt" status.
Another example is the so called "Gay Rights" movement in America and the LDS (Mormon) Church. When the Church fought Proposition 8 in California, which would have legalized homosexual marriages, they were repeatedly threatened by homosexual activists with the loss of their tax-exempt status. For example, Mario Ruiz, VP of Media Relations for the Huffington Post wrote:
"That's why we are seeking to strip the Mormon church of its status as a religious organization. According to IRS law, "no organization, including a church, may qualify for IRC section 501(c)(3) status if a substantial part of its activities is attempting to influence legislation (commonly known as lobbying)." [Emphasis added.]
Please join our efforts and show the world that gay people -- and their friends and families -- know how to hit back. Sign this petition to support the legal effort to strip the Mormon Church of its tax-exempt status." (Source)
Some even maintain the opinion that this is why the Church supported the ordinance enacted in Salt Lake City that prohibits discrimination against gays in housing and employment.
"It looked like a stunning reversal: the same church that helped defeat gay marriage in California standing with gay-rights activists on an anti-discrimination law in its own backyard.
On Tuesday night, after a series of clandestine meetings between local gay-rights backers and Mormons in Salt Lake City, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced it would support proposed city laws that would prohibit discrimination against gays in housing and employment." (Source)
Many Mormons are deceived into supporting these NWO types out of loyalty to their labels, and because the Church is prohibited from opposing them because of 501c3. The lack of opposition is often construed as a Church Endorsement, as are the numerous photo ops with Church leaders. The fact is, the Mormon Church maintains a strict political neutrality position and cannot support or challenge anyone running for office.
Every election year, members of the Church are encouraged to vote, but prohibited from using Church Buildings, resources or pulpits for political endorsements.
I see all of this changing in the very near future:
1. Utah and the Mormon Church will go through a great cleansing that will put an end to the influence of Hypocrites, Satanists, and Babylonians. This will be accomplished by plagues, fire and earthquakes.
2. I have seen that, when the United States and the world sink into chaos, true Latter-Day Saints will embrace the Constitution and Bill of Rights and raise it as a standard to the world. They will form a true Constitutional Republic and unite with other like-minded Patriots from other faiths to preserve it. It will be the government intended by our Founding Fathers that is based on the 10 commandments of the Bible.
3. That our existing National government will be broken up by anarchy and factionalism. All out civil war and chaos will reign. Those that will not fight will be forced to flee to the Rocky mountains.
4. The new and purified Utah will be the exception, and provide a place of sanctuary for the people of these Unites States.
